USING CROLY

Terms of service

Effective and last updated: September 16, 2026

Please read these terms before using Croly. They explain the service, your responsibilities and the limits of campaign diagnostics.

IN THESE TERMS

1. About these terms2. The service3. Store access4. Acceptable use5. Plans & charges6. Analysis limitations7. Data & privacy8. Ownership9. Availability & support10. Ending access11. Responsibility12. Changes & disputes

1. About these terms

These terms cover the Croly website at www.maxcroly.com and the Croly Shopify app hosted at app.maxcroly.com, operated by maxcroly (“we”, “us”). “You” means the person using the service or, where that person acts with authority for a business, that business.

By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms to the extent an agreement is formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. You must have the legal capacity to enter an agreement and the authority to act for any store or business you connect.

Simply viewing this website does not install the app, authorize a charge or provide visitor consent for store analytics. Our Privacy Policy explains information handling; accepting service terms does not replace privacy permissions or waive privacy rights.

2. What Croly provides

Croly helps Shopify merchants inspect UTM campaign conversion paths across sessions, product views, add to cart, checkout and purchases. It provides funnel evidence, potential issue diagnostics, issue monitoring, data-health checks and manual reconciliation with authorized Shopify order data.

Croly is currently in early access. The homepage funnel is illustrative, not a report of your store’s results. Croly does not automatically change your theme, checkout, advertising campaigns or product content. Email alerts, product data exports and cross-period comparison are not currently offered.

Access requires a compatible Shopify store, an authorized installation and the relevant permissions. Requesting early access by email does not guarantee acceptance, installation or a particular launch date. We are an independent software operator, not Shopify; Shopify’s own terms continue to apply to its platform.

3. Store access and account security

Connect only stores you own or are authorized to administer. Keep Shopify accounts and app access secure, grant access only to appropriate personnel, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not email passwords, access tokens or API keys to support.

You are responsible for the actions you authorize on your store and for accurate setup information. We use the permissions granted through Shopify to provide the service. These terms do not grant us unrestricted access or authorize actions outside those permissions.

4. Acceptable use

Use Croly lawfully and only for authorized store analysis. You must not:

  • Access another store’s data without permission, bypass authentication or attempt to obtain credentials.
  • Send malicious code, deliberately flood the service, fabricate events or interfere with other users’ access.
  • Use the service to violate privacy, intellectual-property rights or applicable Shopify policies.
  • Put customer names, emails, addresses, payment information or other unnecessary personal information into campaign parameters, page paths or submitted diagnostic material.
  • Copy or resell access to the service without permission, except where a right cannot lawfully be restricted.

Good-faith security reports are welcome at support@maxcroly.com. Do not exploit an issue to access other users’ information or disrupt the service.

5. Free early access and future paid plans

The current Free plan costs $0 and provides an allowance of 1,000 sessions per 30-day usage period and a 30-day reporting-history window. A counted session is a distinct pseudonymous session in the applicable usage period. Quotas and reporting windows can affect the available analysis; the history window is not an automatic database-deletion deadline.

Growth and Scale are planned options, not currently available for purchase. Published planned prices and allowances are informational and may change before those plans open. We do not currently charge subscriptions or overage fees, and exceeding the Free allowance does not authorize an automatic paid upgrade.

If paid plans are introduced, the price, billing interval, allowance, renewal and cancellation conditions, applicable taxes and any trial or refund terms will be presented before you subscribe. Payment will require your explicit approval through the applicable Shopify billing flow. Visiting the website, requesting access or continuing on Free does not authorize a paid subscription.

6. What the analysis can and cannot tell you

Reports depend on correct installation, campaign tagging, event delivery, Shopify data, browser behaviour and visitor privacy permissions. Consent choices, blocked tracking, interrupted connections, small samples and differences in attribution rules can produce gaps or different totals from other tools.

A diagnosis is a suggested investigation, not proof of causation or a guarantee of improved conversion, revenue or return on advertising spend. Reference rates are illustrative starting points unless expressly identified otherwise. “Learning” means there is not yet sufficient evidence for a diagnosis.

Check data health and relevant source records before making a material business decision. You decide whether and how to act on findings. Croly is not a substitute for professional legal, financial or business advice, and its reports are not audited accounting records.

7. Your data and privacy responsibilities

You retain your rights in store data and grant us only the permission needed to process that data to provide, maintain and secure Croly as described in our Privacy Policy. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your data.

You are responsible for appropriate store privacy notices, the lawful basis for store analytics and the visitor privacy controls required for your store. Do not bypass consent requirements. The pixel respects the analytics permissions supplied by Shopify and does not send customer contact details.

Hashed identifiers are pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous. Uninstalling does not immediately erase all historical analytics. Authorized deletion and other privacy requests can be sent to privacy@maxcroly.com; the Privacy Policy explains verification and retention. Legal privacy rights are separate from currently unavailable product-export features.

8. Software and content ownership

We and our licensors retain rights in Croly’s software, branding and website content. While you have authorized access, you may use the app for your store’s internal business purposes and use its reports for those purposes. No ownership of the software or branding is transferred.

Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licences. Nothing here restricts rights granted by those licences or rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.

9. Availability, changes and support

Early-access features may change as the service develops. Maintenance, faults or changes in Shopify and infrastructure services may interrupt access or delay processing. We do not promise a particular uptime percentage or response time under the current Free plan.

We aim to operate and support the service with reasonable care. If we plan to discontinue early access or materially reduce an existing service, we will seek to provide reasonable advance notice where practical. Urgent security, legal or platform requirements may require immediate action.

Support is available at support@maxcroly.com. We may request non-sensitive setup details to investigate a problem; do not send unnecessary customer information. Third-party disruptions do not remove any responsibility we have under applicable law.

10. Ending or suspending access

You may stop using Croly and uninstall it through Shopify at any time. There is no Free-plan cancellation fee. Removing the app ends connected-store access but is not itself an immediate historical-data deletion request.

We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms, a credible security risk, unlawful activity or a requirement from Shopify or applicable law. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve a remediable breach; urgent risks may require immediate suspension. Contact support if you believe access was suspended in error.

Ending access does not remove accrued legal rights or obligations. Applicable data-retention and privacy-request processes continue as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Responsibility and limits

We do not promise a particular campaign outcome, a complete record of every shopper action or agreement with every other analytics tool. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by unauthorized third-party actions or store and campaign changes outside our control and not caused by our breach.

We remain responsible for our own breaches and conduct to the extent required by applicable law. These terms do not impose a zero-dollar liability cap because the plan is free, or exclude responsibility for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. They do not remove any mandatory consumer protections, duties of care, data-protection obligations or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any responsibility for other losses will be determined under applicable law, taking account of the cause and circumstances of the loss. These service limitations are not a blanket waiver of your rights.

12. Changes, disputes and contact

We will post updated terms with their effective date on this page. For material changes affecting existing app users, we will seek to provide reasonable advance notice through the app or another available contact channel, except where immediate changes are required by law or security. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. You may stop using the service if you do not accept a change; any new paid subscription requires separate explicit approval.

If a dispute arises, please contact support@maxcroly.com so we can try to resolve it. Contacting support is encouraged, not a restriction on access to legal remedies. These terms do not require arbitration, waive collective-action rights or designate an exclusive court. Applicable mandatory law and the jurisdiction rules of the relevant courts determine the available remedies and forum.

If a provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law. A separately agreed written service agreement may specify additional terms; mandatory legal rights still apply.
